About Turner’s Garden Center, Greenhouse, & Landscaping

The People

Turner’s began in 1967 when Stan and Bernice Turner opened up a greenhouse and garden center. Since then, it has expanded to include landscape and construction in order to suit the needs of the growing Ann Arbor community. Turner’s Garden Center is family-owned and operated to this day. Stan and Bernice’s three sons own the business and run the day-to-day operations. They are supported by their knowledgeable greenhouse managers and nursery managers, as well as a full staff of dedicated seasonal and full-time employees.

The Plants

Retail Garden Center

Our retail garden center offers garden plants, houseplants, garden art, pottery, and more! Most plants are out for sale by the end of April, but May is our busiest month by far. Stop by then to see the full selection of plants and flowers for your garden.

Greenhouse

We begin growing thousands of annuals and perennials starting in February each year, most of which are ready to be taken home in April or May. Our staff is very busy during these months, making sure the plants grow up happy and healthy!

Nursery

Every landscaping and gardening job starts with trees and shrubs! Visit our nursery for a wonderful selection flowering and non-flowering trees and shrubs. We have everything you need and the staff to help you get your gardening dreams started.

Residential Design and Landscaping for your home

Our landscape architect, Tom Bradley, joined Turner’s in 1993. He has an exceptionally creative mind for planning and creating beautiful spaces for our clients. Commercial Landscaping Contractor / Ann Arbor

Everywhere you go in Ann Arbor, there is a touch of Turner’s landscaping. Gas stations, grocery stores, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, and much of the University of Michigan campus have been landscaped by Turner’s. Our commercial landscaping contracting company has been able to maintain contracts with many of these companies for decades.
